Hello all,

Life has been kicking my butt for the past couple of months. With my grad school classes, thesis pitch, homework, freelance, commissions, and personal project to juggle, it has been really testing my time management skills.  Next semester I'll be presenting my thesis pitch, hoping it'll get approved. If I pass, I get to officially start working on my thesis! If I fail, I pretty much screw myself over for classes in the future and my anticipated graduation date...

So, for now, I'll be going on hiatus for a while til I get everything going at a steady pace.

For those of you who have been expecting art from me and had already paid in advance, I will try to get that done for you as I can find time to do them. Don't be afraid to drop me a line and ask me about the progress of your art as well. Keep in mind that the order of priority is: School/homework/thesis pitch/freelance > commissions. If you want a refund instead of waiting, be sure to note me.

I've been thinking about making a blog for those who are interested in what I've been drawing in and outside of classes. When I get that up, I'll be sure to link it here.

Awesome! Well seeing as summer is ending, how about the theme of...

Summer time fun! HOWEVER, it has to be based off an existing era but of your choice! (no fantasy or futuristic please!)

Examples you may ask?? Perhaps you want to draw a 1950s pin up gal? Or a Victorian style swimmer at the beach? Maybe a modern sexy french chick in a bikini sipping a martini (or in a martini)? How about a scrawny guy at a lake in his 1920s swimwear? Don't like swimsuits? How about a poor 1990s schmuck trying to hike his way up a mountain and encounters a bear and the only way to defend himself and his kid is by using his a frying pan? I don't know, be creative as you want LOL

Doesn't need a background, though it's encouraged! Many people draw characters but not usually in an environment. Let's practice a bit of backgrounds too, yes?

My teachers at my grad school keep telling the students that the gaming industry is SICK AND TIRED of seeing fantasy and futuristic stuff. They want to see more originality with a history twist! Maybe that might help <3
